Story

My Grandad lived with Dementia for many years before he died in 2021 and my Nana also has Alzheimer’s.

The Dementia Choir are an amazing charity who help individuals and their families, carers and friends see that a diagnosis of Dementia does not mean the end and that life with Dementia can still be happy and joyful.

I’m finally dusting off my running trainers ready for the Manchester half in October - a definite challenge for someone who hasn’t ran/ trained properly for years. I couldn’t think of a better charity to run for and hopefully raise some money and awareness along the way.

If you need any persuading to donate - check out Our Dementia Choir Instagram page and I promise you’ll be swayed.

Thank you to anyone able to donate :)

‘Our Dementia Choir’ began as part of a documentary created for BBC. The series saw actress Vicky McClure take us on a personal journey to discover the true extent of the power of music for those living with Dementia. Donations are vital to keep the choir together. Thank you for your support
