I am having an Ooni bake sale on Tuesday, June 11th to raise money for Vintage Vibes. Every penny raised will help Vintage Vibes to keep making connections and bringing smiles to the faces of older, lonely people in Edinburgh.

Vintage Vibes is an awesome project dedicated to tackling isolation and loneliness among over 60s (called VIPs) in Edinburgh. They partner up volunteers with a VIP based on proximity and common interests. The volunteers can visit their VIP in person, both in and out of the home, or via telephone (or a mixture of all 3). The goal is to meet with your VIP once a week for at least an hour to give them company and/or help them build confidence to get back into the community. I have met with the lovely Betty for coffee once a week for the last 2 years now! She lives alone and can't get out the house by herself so it helps her so much to get out for a coffee and a blether :)

LifeCare support people across Edinburgh in a variety of ways, through their services in the community, their bright, welcoming day clubs and at their buzzing community centre and community café.

They are here to support older people, those living with dementia or poor health, and the people who care for them. They help people to live well at home, tackle isolation and loneliness, help people stay connected to their communities and continue to do the things they love and enjoy
