Story
On October 10th, World Homeless Day, Bay Cove Human Services launched its Give Warmth—Give Hope (GWGH) campaign. As temperatures drop, the need for essential winter items like boots, hats, gloves, and scarves becomes urgent for those without a home. Through GWGH, Bay Cove will provide over 2,000 winter items to more than 600 individuals experiencing homelessness—items that are not merely comforts but crucial for survival during the harsh winter months.
This commitment builds on Bay Cove's legacy of compassionate support through emergency shelters, warming centers, and outreach programs. While our dedication to aiding those facing homelessness is unwavering, winter significantly increases the demand for assistance. It’s a challenge we can’t meet alone.
Alnylam has long supported Bay Cove's CASPAR (Cambridge and Somerville Programs for Addiction Recovery), joining this effort to help make a difference for those experiencing homelessness. Over the past four years, Alnylam employees have rallied together to support this initiative, previously known as "Give Homelessness the Boot," demonstrating our shared goal of making a positive impact on society and providing hope and warmth to those in need.
