Fundraising for Brain Tumour Research
Elly Monaghan was a loving wife, mother of three and grandmother of six and also my auntie. She was diagnosed with a glioblastoma (GBM) brain tumour in 2022 after slurring her words and sounding very confused and devastatingly, Elly died in July 2023, just 14 months after diagnosis.
We are fundraising in her memory, for the Brain Tumour Research Fundraising Group, Elly's Herd, and I hope that you will support us.
Brain tumours are the biggest killer of children and adults under 40 of all cancers and yet historically, only 1% of the national spend on cancer research is allocated to this devastating disease.
