Story
Too many loved ones and friends have experienced baby loss to believe. I personally haven’t been through this particular loss but I understand pregnancy anxiety, wanting a baby so badly throughout our own fertility journey, (the stress of every trip to the loo!) and have personally used the A24 ward next to this one - emergency early pregnancy.
I’m raising money to improve the A23 miscarriage ward because it’s far too likely that one of my loved ones or friends will end up here in the future.
Miscarriage is the most common kind of pregnancy loss, affecting around one in four pregnancies. Despite its prevalence, the emotional toll it takes on families often goes unspoken, leading to a silent suffering that many endure.
Forever Stars want to provide as much support as possible to support those who experience baby loss. Their 'Supporting 1 in 4 for 2024’ campaign aims to raise £50,000 to completely redesign and refit the A23 garden at the QMC, turning it into a comforting and appropriate space for patients and their families dealing with miscarriage.
