Action Medical Research are the leading UK charity funding vital research to help defeat the diseases that devastate the lives of sick and disabled babies, children and young people. Alliance Healthcare have been supporting Action for many years and are inspired by the work they do. Teams from Alliance Healthcare UK will be participating in an upcoming fundraising event called Race the Sun, which will include biking, canoeing, and hiking across the rugged peaks and meandering streams in the Lake District. This is an extremely challenging dawn to dusk event where team members cycle a 2500ft ascent of 22-miles off-road around the Skiddaw Mountain, canoe and meander 2-miles in Derwent Water and finally summit Skiddaw on an 11-mile round trip to an altitude of 931m; all to raise money for this incredible cause.
