Story
This year, after trying in the ballot for 12 years, and saying after the Brighton Marathon ‘Never Again’ I am running the London Marathon in aid of Breakthrough T1D.
In November 2023 my nephew Harry was incredibly poorly with what his mum thought was a sickness bug, but he deteriorated rapidly and was rushed into Addenbrooks Hospital where he was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes . Harry has taken it all in his stride and deals with it amazingly. Along with Harry, one of my daughter’s friends Emma was diagnosed in lock down and once again she has managed her condition brilliantly and Graduated from University this year. I have therefore decided to raise money to help improve and change life of those diagnosed with type 1. Please therefore donate generously so that Breakthrough T1D can continue their life-changing research to help prevent, treat and cure type 1 diabetes.
Breakthrough T1D are committed to eradicating type 1 diabetes and its effects for everyone in the UK with type 1, and at risk of developing it. To work towards a day when there is no more type 1.
Every £ raised makes a huge difference, so please give whatever you can to support me and Breakthrough T1D.
