Thames Path Mighty Hike 2025
Fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support
Fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support
As most of you are aware on 24th August, we had the devasting news that Jamie was diagnosed with a brain tumour, we found out that thankfully this brain tumour is a grade two ependymoma with a positive long-term outcome, however it will always have a hold over his life.
On 25th October Jamie underwent a 12-hour operation to remove his tumour and they managed to get 80-90% of it.
Jamie is currently undergoing an intense 6 weeks of radiotherapy to hopefully shrink the tumour and kill any more abnormal cells in his body.
As a family we are all trying to come to terms with this and lead as normal life as possible as Jamie and Ellie have a 1.5-year-old son, Orson.
In light of all of this on 26th July, Ellie, Jamie, Carolyn, and Maisie have decided to take on a full marathon walk along the Thames Path from Windsor to Henley-on-Thames to raise money for Macmillan. We know that Macmillan do amazing work for people living with brain tumours and cancer and we have all got family members who have been very supported by the work Macmillan do.
We are collectively trying to raise £1500 for the charity, so please, even if it is a £1 every donation will help.
Thank you so much,
Ellie, Jamie, Carolyn and Maisie 😊
