Story
In November 2021 our world was turned upside down as our youngest son Tiernan was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia. With the exceptional care and nursing from the children’s ward at the Maelor, the oncology team at Alder Hey, and his community oncology nurses, he has made amazing progress, hopefully completing his treatment in April 2025.
However, it’s a long journey and the effects of his diagnosis and treatment have been felt by the whole family. We have been fortunate to receive help and support from The Joshua Tree. The Joshua Tree was founded by a family in the same position as ours and provides help and support to families of children diagnosed with cancer across the North West of England and North Wales.
To ensure they can continue their amazing work in supporting families like ours, I am joining a team of riders to cycle from London Zoo to Chester Zoo, covering 240 miles in 3 days in September. I would be so grateful if you would consider supporting us on this journey.
