Story
Lea and I have committed to walking 100 miles in a month to raise money for Isabel Hospice.
We know how hard our Nurses work in the In-Patient Unit and out in the community and we thought it would be a really good idea to match the number of steps our Isabel Hospice Nurses do per day whilst on shift.
Lea is coming up to her 25th anniversary working for Isabel Hospice where many of those years she spent working in the In-Patient Unit racking up at least 8,000 steps a day. She wants to support the hospice by raising funds supporting the vital palliative care services it provides.
Understanding the patients we both support and have supported throughout our careers, who are not able to be active or go for a walk due to their health condition or prognosis and are facing the most challenging times of their lives, we often take walking/getting around for granted. This really motivates us to complete the 100 miles to support Isabel Hospice, so we can keep providing care to people in the community who need it the most.
Thank you!
Please make a donation to enable Isabel Hospice to continue to support others in their time of need. Their services cost £7 million a year to run so lets all give what we can.
Thank you
