This is an Urgent Appeal for donations to help us raise £50,000 to continue to run our 2024 programme with our incredible and unique choir.

Story

I am so excited to be taking on this challenge to raise money for Citizens of the World Choir that I’m an allied member of. They are desperate for donations to prevent them from closing and to help raise £50,000 so they can continue to run.

I want their wheels to keep on turning and in solidarity I want my wheels to keep on turning as I cycle the entire length of mainland UK! The Choir relies on grant funding and your kind and generous donations. Unfortunately, grant funding is rather like a lottery and this year they were unlucky in their application to the Arts Council. As a result they urgently need your help to keep their amazing choir together.

Citizens Of The World Choir is the UK's leading refugee choir: they are a musical family that celebrates the artistry, heritage and humanity of people seeking sanctuary, and their allies. They advocate for understanding, dignity and kindness through the transformative impact of music and song. In my job as an arts psychotherapist and in the choir I have seen how healing and transformative the arts can be. I am so much hoping that with your support I can keep them moving forwards!

Every penny raised through grants and your generous donations is used to advance their mission of healing through music 🙏🏼
