Chosen dance – Argentine Tango

Alison Bio

Like many other people I suddenly lost my father way too young to cancer. The hospice along with Macmillan nurses were a fantastic support and lifeline for our family. I had always loved to dance, not very well and mostly around the kitchen 🙈 and have great memories of the ladies masonic Hall dances when I went with my mother and father. This was a great opportunity for me to raise money for a fantastic charity who were there when needed and combine with my love for dance. I hope to conquer my stage fright and not fall flat on my face on the night :)

Mark Bio,

I was born in Bury and moved to Bolton in 2003. I’m a company director in construction, and finally took to the dance floor last year, after years of my wife asking. I instantly fell in love with it, and have been caught numerous times dancing in the kitchen 😊

We heard about the Bolton Hospice strictly fund raiser in March this year, and thought what a wonderful way to raise money, for such a cause that is taken for granted.

The training is fast paced and fun, and everyone is really nice and supportive of each other. We’re nervous about the night and not making the “fumble” a dance move 😊

I’ve no real claim to fame, but as an active gym goer I do have a motto which I think sums a happy life….. Lift, Waltz, Love, Laugh, Eat, Sleep, Repeat.
