I am sharing this message with you because as you know I have a birthday coming up in May and I am being presumptuous in assuming that you may be sending me a birthday card

This year I wonder, instead of sending me a card if you would consider donating the cost of the card and maybe the postage cost ( if you would normally post it ) to my JustGiving Page.

The page is set up to donate to Dove House Hospice in Hull in memory of my wonderful brother in law Carl.

Dove House hospice were superb in providing amazing care and support, not only for Carl but for my sister Helen and the whole family .

The Hospice relies totally on donations and gift aid donations to provide a superb service and care .

Just a few examples of how a small donation can help support the services that they offer.

£3 – a bottle of calming French lavender oil to help relax patients during an aromatherapy session

£5 – a tub of soothing aloe vera to be used during a relaxing massage

£7.50 - Little boxes of big thoughts for loved ones to share important thoughts and reflections

£10 – Comforting worry monster and book for bereaved children

£15 - 3 homecooked meals for a patient on our Wilberforce Unit

£20 - 1hr child bereavement session (1 to 1)

£25 – 1hr bereavement support session for an adult (1 to 1)

Every penny we can raise is much needed and much appreciated.

So please, if you can donate the cost of my birthday card and maybe WhatsApp me on the big day instead it would be really amazing 🤞
