I am so happy and excited to share with you all that I am officially an Ambassador for Free to Run !!

Free to Run’s mission is to advance gender equity globally, through running. Through a combination of sports programs, leadership development, and community outreach, Free to Run helps young women to reclaim public space and change views about the roles they can (and should) play in a society.

Free to Run has impacted thousands of individuals and their communities in five countries, most notably Afghanistan where the organisation was founded, and Iraq where their largest-scale programs operate today. Their award-winning programs for young women and girls are designed to develop women into community leaders who can bring people together across cultural, ethnic, and religious lines.

My own journey to running wasn’t easy but as I have grown through this process and shared my own story I know only too well what it feels like to run free. One Woman Running All Women Everywhere was conceived just before I ran Paris Marathon in 2021. Once a city that turned my life upside down, became a place where I reclaimed my dreams and found power in sharing my story. It was a race that changed my life. I’ve continued to share my message and now my efforts will have a direct impact on women who face much greater barriers to running free.

I am running and pushing my own limits in solidarity with the young women in conflict areas like Iraq and Afghanistan who do not have the freedom to do the same. I will continue to be One Woman Running for All Women Everywhere and hold these women and many other women across the globe close to my heart as I train for my hardest and longest race so far. My first 100miler in June 2024.

Through Ambassador support and fundraising, Free to Run will work to provide sporting and leadership opportunities to their participants so they can be armed with the tools they need to succeed.

Free to Run believes, as do I, that young women can and will be a force for positive change.
