Story
Alice has been lucky enough to receive lots of support and care in her life so far. She’s accessed some amazing groups and resources that have helped her achieve milestones that most take for granted. Walking, talking, jumping and even eating, have all been skills Alice has needed real support and training with.
When thinking about which charity Alice wanted to raise money for and say thank you for all she’s received, we decided on Children in Need. It has been a key funding partner to so many of the great organisations that have supported her and seemed like a good way to give back to many.
Alice’s muscle tone can be a little weaker than a typical 6 year old, so physical activities are often quite tough. There is however one physical activity thing she loves and has taught herself to do (with some wonderful support from the older girls at school)…Alice loves to hula hoop. She’s been patient, confident and committed in learning how to hula hoop and can even now spin two hoops and walk while spinning with the hoop!
In order to raise funds for children in need Alice is going to aim to do 2000 spins in 2 weeks, starting Friday 3rd November!
If anyone would like to show their support and give a little but of sponsorship, it would mean the world to her and make a huge difference to the children supported by Children in Need!
