Story

Thank you for supporting my epic bike ride.

I'm joining around 100 cyclists to ride 354 miles over six days between France (just north of Paris), and Suffolk, England.

We're raising funds in memory of the members of Bury St Edmunds Rugby Club who were killed in the 1974 Ermenonville Air Disaster.

The plane crash, the world's worst at the time, killed all 346 people on board.

The club was visiting France to watch England versus France in the Five Nations. Eighteen of the group took an earlier flight from Paris on Turkish Airlines 981. Tragically, the cargo door burst open and the plane came down minutes after takeoff carving a mile-long trail through Ermenonville forest. Ten local women were widowed and 20 children were left fatherless.

The bike ride is a wonderful way to remember those who died in the crash while raising funds for worthy causes. Any support for my ride is much appreciated.
