This year, me and my best friend will be doing the Alton Towers 5K dressed in full dinosaur suits. We are both doing this for different charities that relate to someone in our lives.

I am doing it to race money for a charity called Climbers Against Cancer, over the years people in my life have rock climbed/bouldered and this charity have merchandise/gear for climbers the proceeds of which go towards cancer research.

Cancer affects everyone, and has affected multiple people in my life, it is a cause that is near and dear to me and is affecting more and more people every day. Charities that are working towards an end of this horrible disease need all the help they can get and this is one that doesn’t get shouted about enough!

To raise funds and awareness concerning cancer, for the benefit of research into prevention, causes and treatments of the disease, as well as for activities that can help sufferers and their families cope emotionally and physically with the challenges of living with and beyond a cancer diagnosis and treatment
