Story

The 9th-15th October is Baby Loss Awareness Week.

In summer 2023 I was classed as having a ‘PUL’ which is a Pregnancy of Unknown Location and a term I had never heard of. The PUL was sadly later than confirmed as a miscarriage. It was one of the hardest times of my life, and one of the most lonely which I know is something a lot of women in this position feel, even with baby loss affecting 1 in 4 pregnancies.

This October, The Miscarriage Association are remembering all the tiny lives lost to miscarriage, ectopic and molar pregnancy through their Memory Walk fundraising event.

I will be walking 4 miles and (hopefully! depending on how slow I am) finishing at 4pm, reflecting the 1 in 4 pregnancies that end in loss.

The funds raised will help the charity be there to support people through the heartbreak of pregnancy loss.

However recent or long ago your loss was, the Memory Walk is a special way to remember, reflect, and honour your baby’s memory.

Without going through that experience, I would never have had the blessing that is my darling Bonnie girl. Sending so much love to those going through it, those having been through it, and those wishing for their time.
