Story
In March 2025, I will be taking part in the Liverpool Half Marathon to raise money for Time for Bed, a fundraising appeal run by End Furniture Poverty.
Every child deserves to dream, and they can't do so without sleep.
At least 18,000 children in Merseyside do not have their own bed to sleep in at night and Time for Bed raises funds to give every child with a bed of their own. A bed supports a child's physical and emotional development, as well as their concentration levels and ability to engage in education.
End Furniture Poverty’s Time for Bed appeal aims to:
• Provide cot or bed bundles containing a bed, mattress and warm bedding to each baby and child across the region who are currently living without their own bed, giving them a warm, comfortable place of their own to sleep each night.
• Improve the physical, mental and emotional wellbeing of children living in poverty
• Support a child’s bedtime routine
• Help children develop to their full potential each day through education following a good night’s sleep
• Reduce feelings of isolation by offering independence to help boost a child’s self-esteem and confidence, and allow them to socialise with their peers
• Remove an additional worry from parents, helping to support the mental health and wellbeing of all family members
Sponsor me and help support a child's chance to grow, thrive and dream. Thank you!
