Story
I am raising funds to provide hot meals for the families in Palestine, a community enduring immense hardship and uncertainty. Ramadan teaches us the value of sacrifice and empathy, pushing us beyond our comfort zones to better understand the plight of others. In solidarity with those who go hungry not by choice but by circumstance, I have committed to walking 10 kilometers every day during Ramadan, abstaining from food and drink, symbolising the endurance and resilience of those facing adversity. Your generosity will not only fill empty stomachs but also warm hearts, spreading compassion and solidarity across borders.
In Palestine, civilians once more face the horror of major airstrikes, with a rapidly rising death toll and hundreds of thousands of people displaced with nowhere safe to go, worsening the already dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.
At least 30,000 Palestinians have been killed and more than 65,087 injured due to the ongoing violence. This number is expected to increase rapidly as airstrikes continue. Nearly 50% of deaths are children.
Despite the challenges, Islamic Relief teams on the ground in Gaza continue to tirelessly distribute essential aid on a daily basis. They have distributed medical items, hot meals and psychosocial support to children.
With your support, Islamic Relief will remain a lifeline for Palestinian families. Please give generously to our Palestine Emergency Appeal now.
