The project seeks to scale up existing systems comprised of talented citizen engineers, computer scientists, clinicians and epidemiologists to rapidly gather, integrate and display data to help inform Ontarios decision-making in response to COVID-19

Story

While our health care workers have been on the front lines of care responding to the COVID-19 pandemic, researchers at THPs research arm the Institute for Better Health have also been playing an important role, collaborating on a number of research projects and activities that study COVID-19 and its impact on our system and community.

One particular project, led by principal investigator Dr. Benjamin Fine and co-principal investigator Dr. Laura Rosella, along with an interdisciplinary team of experts at THP and the University of Toronto, has built a real-time open source data and analytics hub (HowsMyFlattening.ca) that is widely being used to monitor Ontarios response to COVID-19.

Your support of our Institute for Better Health provides funds that advance research and foster innovation to address real-life problems within our health care system and community.
