Story

Myself (Mary) my Dad (Guy), my Brother (Ed) and Sister in Law (Nichola) have decided to take on this challenge to raise money for this charity as it’s very close to our hearts.

When my little boy, Alfie, was 2 weeks old he was rushed to Royal London Hospital extremely poorly and we were all heartbroken, as you can imagine.

The Sick Children’s Trust accommodation gave us peace of mind that we were only round the corner to the hospital and there was no need for us to have to worry about commuting each and every day, for what would have been at least an hour each time. It also allowed us to rest as much as possible so that we felt strong in ourselves for Alfie through his recovery.

We are grateful for any donation made as we all know how important this facility is and really does help families through troubling times.

Thank you x

About the charity

The Sick Children’s Trust is the charity that gives families with a seriously ill child in hospital a comfortable place to stay and a friendly ear to listen in one of our ten ‘Homes from Home’. By providing families with somewhere to stay near their child they have one less thing to worry about.
