Story
It’s that time of the year again when we celebrate Alfie’s birthday by raising money for a charity he chose.
In May 2024, Alfie was named a patron for Brain Tumour Research. This year, for his annual birthday fundraiser organised by his official fan group, he has chosen this charity again in lieu of gifts from fans.
This cause is very close to his heart. Alfie lost his father Alfred to brain cancer in 1997 when he was just 23. Describing his father as “fun and gentle”, Alfie expressed his pride and honour in working with Brain Tumour Research. He wants to help secure more government investment in the research, as he was “appalled that only 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease”.
This year’s fundraiser is extra special. Everyone who makes a donation and leaves their name will be entered into a prize draw to win a signed guitar gifted by Alfie from his personal collection.
In the last year, Alfie’s official fan group has raised over £10,000 for this charity.
We would like to thank you so much in advance for your continued support.
