Story
I'm taking on the 40 miles in 40 days Challenge to help raise awareness and life changing funds for children and young people with epilepsy just like myself.
Epilepsy can be one of the most frightening and isolating conditions a young person can experience. The loss of any sense of safety, trapped in an unpredictable world, not knowing when a seizure may happen. Your donation will help improve much needed research, treatment and practical support for children and young people living with epilepsy just like me.
Your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate £5 or £500, every little bit helps. Thank you for your support!

My epilepsy story
(My Diagnosis)
In November 2021 I was asleep when my whole body began to shake and it woke me up, when I was awake I was aware I was shaking but could not stop it, this made me really scared. My mum and dad were both very worried so my mum took me to the hospital when I was there they took blood tests, when we was allowed home my mum told me the doctor said I had a seizure. When I went a bed it took me ages to go to sleep because I was so worried about having another seizure.
The next morning I had another two seizures and had to go back to the hospital with my mum. I had to stay in the hospital for two days and had to have an EGG where a nurse tested my brainwaves using sticky pads and wires on my head. When the test had finished the nurse told my mum and me I had something called Epilepsy.
My epilepsy story
(Living with Epilepsy)
To date I have had around 1000-1200 seizures, at first these used to make me feel really scared. Although my seizures are not very nice when they happen I know what to do now to help me recover so I am not as scared anymore.. After suffering from a seizure I feel very tired and confused, my legs and head will also hurt and sometimes I am sick, so I need to sleep to help my body feel better.
