Story

I am cycling the length of the country, arriving in London to deliver the match ball for the Rycroft Rumble, in memory of Rycroft.

UPDATE - Cycle completed! But not too late to donate... Watch below...

In memory of Rycroft Alport Foster, who died at just 16 months from an infection while recovering from a life-saving stem cell transplant, I'm embarking on a 350-mile cycling journey.

Rycroft battled Shwachman-Diamond syndrome (SDS), a rare genetic condition that made the stem cell transplant his only hope. Despite fantastic care, he passed away at Great Ormond Street Hospital in June 2023.

My route:

- Newcastle to Bradford via Middlesbrough and Leeds (125 miles)

- Bradford to Cambridge (155 miles) on April 11, 2025

- Cambridge to London (70 miles), delivering the match ball for the Rycroft Rugby Rumble final at Old Colfeians RFC
