Story

As I prepare for the Thames Path Ultra Challenge 2024, we are reminded of the importance of this cause. I am fundraising for Stokenchurch Dog Rescue, an organization that has been giving dogs a second chance for 60 years. The Rescue is independently funded and relies solely on donations to keep running. My goal is to raise £240 GBP to support their efforts while completing this 25km walk!

Every dog deserves a loving home and a chance at a happy life. Stokenchurch Dog Rescue provides just that. They work tirelessly to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome dogs in need. By participating in this walk, I hope to raise awareness and funds for this incredible organisation.

We cannot change the world on our own, but together we can make a difference in the lives of these dogs. With your support, we can help Stokenchurch Dog Rescue continue their vital work and give more dogs the second chance they deserve.

Anyone who knows me, knows that my love of dogs is my passion, I am very privileged to have my own beautiful golden retriever and knowing the love and affection that comes from these animals is beyond doubt one of the most humbling emotions as humans we can experience. I am lucky enough to be able to volunteer at this fabulous centre at the weekends and be able to give something back.

Please consider making a donation to this wonderful cause and help us reach our target amount. Your contribution will make a real difference in the lives of these animals. Any amount you can donate will be greatly recieved.

Wish me luck!

About the charity

Stokenchurch dog rescue was originally formed by local residents in 1963 to save the lives of stray and unwanted dogs. We never destroy a healthy dog, believing that somewhere there is a kind and permanent home for every dog. We also take in and care for the sick, the old and the traumatised.
