Story
Thank you for visiting my page and taking the time to read about my cause.
Throughout March, I will be running 5k every day to raise money for Sarcoma UK, in solidarity with my sister, Tia, who has recently been diagnosed with desmoplastic small round cell tumour. This is an extremely rare form of cancer, affecting on average just 12 people in the UK each year.
My mission is to help fund vital sarcoma research and to raise awareness of how important it is to get checked when something doesn’t look or feel right.
Tia first raised concerns with doctors before Christmas, but these were unfortunately attributed to the effects of giving birth just three months earlier. Due to the rarity of this cancer, it took time for her symptoms to be correctly identified - time that could have been spent in treatment. By raising funds and awareness, I hope to support earlier diagnosis of sarcoma cancers and contribute towards a future where all sarcomas are curable.
If you’re able to donate, any amount - no matter how small - would be hugely appreciated. If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this page to help spread awareness and encourage others to trust their instincts and get themselves checked.
Thank you so much for your support.
