We back people to protect rainforest and climate crisis

Story

When we embarked on our Mongolian monkey bike adventure a couple of years ago, I was full of excitement but also trepidation. I was looking forward to the journey through the steppe, the desert and whatever else Mongolia was going to throw our way, but I was also anxious about the unsupported nature of the trip. As a lot of you know, by the end of it, the fear had evaporated completely and amazement at what that beautiful country had to offer and a newfound love for monkey bikes had taken its place.

Such was the elation and the buzz, that not long after we got back we signed up to do it all over again. And this time, no alcohol consumption was necessary for me to sign on the dotted line. I was completely and utterly sold!

India, a place I've wanted to see for a long time, is where this next chapter is taking place. Oh, and the monkey bikes are being replaced by rickshaws. We're starting in the south of India, at Fort Kochi in Kerala and we've got just over two weeks to make it to Jaisalmer in Rajasthan, a journey of around 2500km.

This is not a holiday, but an adventure, so we are only given a map by the organisers (no route) and a lot of useless advice. The rest is up to us. Getting lost at some point is a must, as are punctures and mechanical issues. But through all the madness, you get to see the most spectacular scenery and meet the most amazing people.

And as if that isn't hard enough, the in-laws are coming along!!!

The Adventurists, the organisers, have once again partnered up with Cool Earth, an amazing charity protecting rainforests and fighting climate change. Last time, our team raised £700 for the charity, which was really appreciated. We'd like to raise a bit more if possible, as I do love me rainforests, but I understand times are tough so no pressure. But if you lovely lot can spare a couple of quid (if taking your mother-in-law with you isn't worth a few quid, I don't know what is!), myself, our team and this planet will be forever grateful.

(Just for clarification purposes, all funds will go to Cool Earth. Our team have already prepaid for the trip ourselves)
