I’m excited to announce that I’ll be running in the 2024 London Marathon! I am truly honoured to say that I am running the marathon for Macmillan Cancer Support! As someone who does running as a hobby, I’ve decided to take on this incredible challenge not only to push my limits but also to make a meaningful impact.

Cancer has touched the lives of many, including my own family and friends. My mother’s triumphant battle with breast cancer, the loss of my grandfather to this disease, and the heartache my best friend experienced after losing her father have driven me to take action. This marathon is not only a personal challenge but a tribute to their strength and the countless others who have faced cancer’s hardships.

I’ve chosen to raise funds for Macmillan, an organization that provides vital support to individuals and families affected by cancer. Macmillan’s unwavering dedication to offering practical, emotional, and financial assistance during such difficult times is truly inspiring.

Let’s join forces to make this marathon more than just a race – it’s a meaningful journey to support those in need. Every contribution, big or small, will help Macmillan continue their incredible work and make a positive impact on the lives of cancer patients and their families.

A bit of perspective on how donations are used:

- £25 can fund an hour on support lines giving vital information and support

- £50 will ensure a Macmillan Nurse is there when someone is diagnosed with cancer

- £100 can provide benefit advice so people with cancer can get the best financial help and support
