Story
To coin a tennis metaphor, ‘to keep your relationship in balance, especially if it's new, neither you nor your partner should do all the calling, all the planning, all the talking, all the giving, and all the chasing. You can't play tennis if only one of you is hitting the ball.’
Alexandra Bader is an avid tennis player and co-captain of The Boca Raton club tennis team in her home community. She thrives on shattering the glass ceiling, and spearheading community activism to lighten the load of those less fortunate. This is a woman who is a competitor both on and off the court with a heart of gold and a strong sense of purpose.
Being a wife, mom, friend, sister, aunt, businesswoman, and adventurer, she finds time to devote to a charity that’s near and dear to her heart called Kindness Angels a Covid era spin off Kindness Matters 365 in conjunction with St. Gregory’s Episcopal Church in Boca. Alex rallies her friends and family, and together, every month they donate large quantities of food and their time to nourish people experiencing homelessness and disenfranchised within the community. She reflects, “during COVID-19, our supporters would feed the hungry because the world came to a halt and companionship was scarce. We can all do a small part to help our neighbors in need.”
Alex and her husband, Mike Bader, are esteemed members of the South Florida Ferrari Clubs, with Mike serving as the Vice President of the Ferrari Club of America – Fort Lauderdale Chapter. During a memorable Ferrari Club cocktail event, Alex issued a challenge to the club members: to bring a box of cereal as part of their entry. Cereal is expensive and those on limited incomes commonly don't purchase it for their families. Her inspiring initiative led to the collection of hundreds of boxes of cereal for Kindness Angels, leaving their Executive Director and now dear friend, Linda Baratz, speechless. That is how Alex Bader rolls.
During Halloween, Alex and friends participate in a trunk-or-treat event at Dixie Manors where local kids can enjoy safe Halloween festivities with some extra cool treats. Plus, there is there's a Christmas Cookie party, a cake walk and even an afternoon carnival at the Delray Achievement Center complete with face painting, tie dyeing and magic. "Everything we do is sourced and funded by us. We rely 100% on each others time and the generosity of our friends and loved ones to support our endeavors to bring a little happiness and more importantly, essential needs and a meal to those who need it the most."
When she’s not focused on charitable work, jetting across the globe, or enjoying quality time with friends and family, Alex is a luxury realtor for Corcoran. She works with a close network of clients and leaves enough time for her husband, her three grown children and her 4-legged toddler, "Enzo", the beloved family French Bulldog.
This November Alex will shine as parent of the bride standing by her daughter Brittany as she marries Ryan, the love of her life in New Hope, Pennsylvania.
Approaching their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary, Alex and Mike have learned to perfect their game. Alex shared, “Your spouse should help make you a better person.” When asked what she would impart about being philanthropic she simply stated, “ Everyone capable should do whatever they can, for as many as they can, as often as they can, with what they can. My "can" is different than yours, but we can all do something."
Alexandra Bader, you are wise, warm, and wonderful. We are honored to welcome you as a 2024 GLAMMY AWARD recipient.
