Last year your donations helped my friend at the Royal Free Hospital host an education camp for kids newly diagnosed with Type One Diabetes. We managed to raise enough money to help 8 families of children attend the camp and gain the confidence they need to manage the condition. This Sept. 10, we plan to ride the 135 kms from London to Eastbourne with 1500 meters of climbing for the same worthy cause. For many years I used to cycle with Thomas, a diabetic global cycle tourist. He carried two months of frozen insulin in a 20 kg set of panniers and always stayed positive about his condition! The Royal Free Charity supports patients, staff and researchers across the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust.
