Story
On Friday 4 October I take on the challenge of Boycott your Bed, sleeping out on the London streets to support vulnerable children across the UK and raising vital funds for Action for Children. 4.3 million children now live in poverty in the UK, which is 30% of all children. It's easy to think poverty happens elsewhere, but it's affecting the child in the park, next door, and the children whose names you know. With our help, Action for Children could give a child warm clothes, hot meals, and a proper bed. You could help us to be there, with love and without judgment, in moments of crisis when children are living without the essentials.
Please support with raising vital funds and help more children have a safe and happy childhood. £50 could pay for new shoes for two children, £60 could help pay for a family's household bills for a week, including gas and electricity, or £250 could pay for bedding and furnishings for 10 young people moving into care, to help make their room feel like their own.
