Story
In March 2023 I lost my brother David very unexpectedly. David was a larger than life figure who always pushed me to step out of my comfort zone and try things I had never done before.
One year later, keeping his teachings and thoughts front of mind, I will be running the 2024 NYC Half Marathon in David’s honor by raising money for charity “Good Grief”.
Good Grief builds resilience in children, strengthens families, and empowers communities to grow from loss and adversity. They stand on the front lines supporting grieving children and families wherever they are, whenever they need it, for as long as they need it. One in seven kids will experience the death of a parent or sibling before the age of 25, equating too over 280,000 kids in NJ. Without the right support, this traumatic experience can result in long term mental and physical health problems such as anxiety and depression. The need for Good Grief's free programs continues to grow. I was very lucky to have a great support base around me in my time of loss, but not everyone is as fortunate. Join me in changing the future for grieving kids.
