My mother Anita Thomas passed away in July 2023, she had suffered a significant stroke in 2022 that she never recovered from. A nurse for 40 years and devoted mother to myself and Huw, and loving wife of David, who was her primary carer up until her death last year.
When stroke strikes, part of your brain shuts down. And so does a part of you. Life changes instantly and recovery is tough. But the brain can adapt.
