Hello

As you may know we lost our little baby Albie to sudden unexplained infant death on the 28th of April this year. Albie had just turned one.

Our hearts are of course broken but I know Albie’s year was amazing and full of love and adventure.

Held in our hearts is a small charity originally based just in Edinburgh but they have recently set up a venue in Inverness so they can support bereaved families in the highlands who have lost a precious precious baby, they are currently supporting us every week.

This does however come at a cost to the charity. 18 months of counselling is offered, costing £50 a session.

Special hospital bags can be taken home by parents with memories and support, also costing £50.

Through ‘Albie’s gift’ I would very much like to support the charity in providing the counselling and providing the memory bags. I plan to do a variety of things up until Albie’s birthday next year on the 13th of April. Because maybe his second year can be filled with love and adventure too, just in a different way.

I know times are hard and everyone is feeling the cost of living crisis but these tragedies are sadly still happening and no one should suffer the loss of a baby alone. If we just raise enough for a few memory bags to go home with families then I’ll proud of that.
