I doubt there are many families who haven't been touched by this cruel disease. I'll be running in particular memory of my dear grandmother, who was always supportive of my writing, as well as everyone else in our circle of family and friends affected by Alzheimer's and dementia.

I have been running for 35 years, mainly in the 5k to 10k range, but I completed my first unofficial half-marathon earlier this year and will be looking forward to taking part in the stunning event in Cardiff, one of the greatest cities in the world!
