Story
My son Ben’s girlfriend Chloe French has been diagnosed with stage 4 melanoma. The both of them and Chloe’s family and friends are all going through this with them and are a close brilliant group to help them through these bad times. We’ve come up with an idea to raise funds for a charity The Teenage Cancer Trust which Chloe has chosen,by having a senior football match at Lowick on Sunday the 4th June 2pm ko. We’re getting a Lowick Senior team (ex players and honoured guests)to play The Border Senior team kindly sorted by Cam Waterhouse. Hoping u can come support the match support the charity and just have a good day. After match refreshments will hopefully be at The White Swan Inn Lowick. Please please come and show support. Many thanks.
Story
5 years ago, Chloe had a mole on her ear checked out and it was given the all clear. Only a year later, after its appearance had changed, she got it checked again and this time it was removed. Chloe was then given the news that it was Melanoma (stage 1). After further surgery to remove a large section of her ear Chloe was given the all clear and apart from having 3 monthly check ups, she carried on living her life as normal.
Fast forward to now, and after suffering for several months with agonising hip and leg pain, we got the devastating news that the cancer had returned. After extensive scans and tests the doctors confirmed that Chloe has advanced Melanoma (stage 4) consisting of 4 main tumours alongside several smaller ones throughout her body.
Chloe underwent successful brain surgery to remove one of the tumours. She is now receiving immunotherapy to target the remaining tumours, with the hope to also introduce radiotherapy to reduce the pain Chloe is suffering from her hip and leg.
Any donations would be very much appreciated for this amazing charity 💛
