Story
Our beautiful Mum was taken from us this January by Pancreatic Cancer, in a tragically short time. Everyone who met Mum will know what she brought to them personally and hold that close. You will also remember a beaming smile & laugh, a vibrant thirst for life and contagious positivity that was utterly refreshing, something that is normally so scarce in our everyday. She really was a living ray of sunshine.
In remembrance of Mum we would like donations to be made to the charity, Hospiscare. This team were the people who helped Karen, Paul, Chris and I care for Mum at home in those challenging weeks at the end of her life. Hospice nurses are very special people, they have the kind of empathy and compassion you cant teach or learn. Hospices & the teams who support patients and their families, rely on people giving/donating to sustain their services. Therefore we would please urge you to donate in memory of our Mum, so they can continue to provide this life changing care.
Mums offspring have developed a healthy love of exercise. Despite our aching joints, dodgy knees and a distaste for long runs, Karen, Paul and Aimee will be doing a half marathon in her memory (she would have relished the thought of us doing this together). This will pose a worthy challenge for us physically and mentally to help raise funds for our worthy cause.
Thank you, we really appreciate your support 💛
