Story
As a team we are raising money for The Brain Tumour Charity. Throughout this year we will be taking part in numerous activities for fundraising- kicking off with a team of us doing the ‘Tough Mudder’ challenge on the 6th of April. The ultimate challenge in teamwork, we will be taking on the world’s best obstacle course, getting muddy and no doubt making fools of ourselves, all in the name of charity!!
We have been recently directly affected by the devastating diagnosis that a brain tumour can bring. We want to raise as much money and awareness as possible, as currently brain tumours have the lowest survival rates of all cancers. They can strike anyone, at any age, and they strike fast, which completely turns the lives of those affected upside down overnight.
Over 88k people in the UK are currently living with a brain tumour. The treatments are often invasive and can have extreme side effects of their own. Over £700m is spent on cancer research in the UK currently but only 3% of that goes on brain tumours. We want to help fund vital research to improve the outcome for anyone diagnosed with a brain tumour and enable them to live a better quality, longer life.
The Brain Tumour Charity relies 100% on donations so please give what you can to help us help this great cause that means a lot to us all.
