We raise awareness of cavernoma to improve the lives of people affected

Story

On June 1, 2024, Miheer and Ailsa will be climbing Snowdon, the highest mountain in England and Wales, as part of a group walk to raise awareness and funds for Cavernoma Alliance UK.

A cavernoma is a common but often unheard of condition caused by a cluster of abnormal blood vessels in the brain or spine. It affects around 1 in 625 people. The mission of Cavernoma Alliance UK is to improve the quality of life for those affected by cavernoma through education, support and research. Please join us in supporting our fundraiser!

Our personal connection is that Ailsa’s father, John, who was previously fit and healthy, suffered a brain hemorrhage at the age of 57 due to a brainstem cavernoma. While we hope to undertake the climb alongside John in the coming years, in the meantime, your contribution to this little-known charity would mean an incredible amount to us. Please consider donating whatever you can to support our cause.
