Event: 24-Hour Fast for Children in Crossfire, on 29 February 2024
24-Hour Fast on Thursday 29th February - Leap Day - to support Children in Crossfire's healthcare and education work in Ethiopia and Tanzania. Use your extra day for good!

Story

Children in Crossfire support St Luke’s Hospital in Ethiopia’s Oromia region in their work to treat and prevent severe acute childhood malnutrition. The lives of thousands of children have been saved by the St Luke’s team, while their positive grassroots work has ensured thousands more are well fed, healthy and in no need of hospital intervention.

Right now, violence in Oromia is making life extremely difficult. Frequent kidnappings, brutal attacks and killings are leaving communities deeply fearful. Day-to-day life is severely restricted, with many people forced to stay at or near to home.

Children in Crossfire want to be able to provide St Luke’s with the resources they will need to treat every malnourished child that crosses their door in the coming months. That’s why I'm taking part in this 24-Hour Fast.
