Story

Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page.

This year we will be taking on the Big Walk - on Friday 28 June 2024 - in support of Motor Neurone Disease Research at the University of Sheffield. We are raising money in memory of my brother, John Patrick Brennan, who bravely battled this illness until he sadly passed away in July 2022. Our hope is that the money raised will help to further the research that will find a cure for this terrible disease.

Any donations are appreciated to help reach my fundraising goal!

MND is a terminal condition. It affects the brain and nerves and is nearly always fatal. There is currently no cure. It is commonly regarded as a rare condition. But this isn't true. 1 in every 300 people, across all UK communities, will develop MND in their lifetime. MND kills six people in the UK every day, with a third of those diagnosed losing their lives within just a year. Tragically, people die from this devastating disease because there are currently no treatments that can stop it. Your support can make a much needed breakthrough in MND come sooner. And improve the lives of patients long into the future.
