Story
This Ramadan, the Ahmed Abbas Foundation (AAF) is partnering with the International Development and Relief Foundation (IDRF) to help provide iftars to those who fasting at Masjid Al Aqsa. 🇵🇸
Masjid al-Aqsa is one of the most significant religious sites in Islam, located in the Old City of Jerusalem. During the month of Ramadan, Muslims from all over the world flock to this mosque to attend prayers and break their fasts (iftar) together. 🕌
It is important to note that the situation in Palestine has been marked by ongoing violence and tension for many years. In recent years, the holy month of Ramadan has been marred by attacks on Masjid al-Aqsa, leading to increased tensions and violence.
Why Give Iftars?
In an effort to support Palestine during the last ten nights of Ramadan, IDRF is providing iftar meals to everyone who gathers at Masjid al Aqsa to perform Maghrib prayers. 🙏🏼
Giving iftar to those in need considered an act of great virtue in Islam. It is not only a means of fulfilling religious obligations, but also an opportunity to extend charity and generosity to the less fortunate. 🤲🏼
For many people who attend prayers at Masjid al-Aqsa, particularly those who are poor or homeless, the iftar provided by the mosque or by charitable individuals is their only source of food and sustenance during Ramadan. Your donation can help ensure that these individuals have access to food and can observe the rituals of Ramadan with dignity.
This is your opportunity to make an impact. 💪🏼
IDRF is proactively making an effort to revive the true essence of Ramadan in Palestine. In an effort to support the community during the last ten nights of Ramadan, IDRF is providing iftar meals to everyone who gather at Masjid al Aqsa to perform Maghrib prayers.
Through our dedicated work, we are committed to restoring the spiritual and cultural significance of Ramadan. 💚
Please note, any donations above $10.00 CAD will receive a tax-deductible receipt from IDRF.
