I'm thrilled to announce that I'll be running the London Marathon 2024 to support Birmingham Hospice. With your help, we can ensure that 1,000 local people living with life-limiting illnesses receive the care they need from Birmingham Hospice at any given time. It's heartbreaking to know that 1 in 4 families in the UK who need hospice care are not able to get the support they need, which means people are dying without the dignity of choice. This is unacceptable and it's time for a change. A dear friend of mine volunteered at the hospice and I know that people are treated with care, compassion and dignity that they deserve.

This will be my second London Marathon and I'm determined to make it count. Last time, I struggled with cramps in my right calf after mile 15. But this year, I'm ready to take on whatever comes my way - even if the crowd starts playing Abba again, which was when all started going wrong! Running for this deserving charity will give me all the motivation I need to push through any challenge.
