This summer Aeneas and Jonty will walk the 177 miles of Offa's Dyke. All money raised will be divided equally between F.A.I.R. and Claire House Children's Hospice.

Why this walk? Well, I am studying all things Anglo-Saxon and Celtic while it seems Jonty is a direct descendant of Llywelyn ap Gruffudd! Plus we both spent much of our childhoods in the Welsh borders.

Why F.A.I.R. (Funding Auto-Immune Research) ? Because Aeneas' mother suffers from a chronic auto-immune disease and this charity aims to find a cure for all auto-immune disease.

Why Claire House Hospice? Because by raising money for this children's hospice Jonty's mother has herself been inspired in her own courageous battle against cancer.
