A gym for most people is simply a place to go and exercise but for many of us taking part in classes at The National Water Sports Centre Gym (Holme Pierrepont Country Park) it has become so much more than that. We’ve created a community and friendships that go above and beyond helping us through the nightmare of burpees, jump lunges and squats together! We’ve organised Christmas bootcamps, baby showers and had some amazing social nights.

Last year we took on The Yorkshire Three Peaks and raised £5,505 for the Maggie’s Centre in Nottingham. We had an absolutely incredible time and building upon the success of last years trip we have decided to take on Snowdon this year! We’ve welcomed new team members this year and will be undertaking our challenge on Saturday 1st June 2024 with the Maggie’s Centre in Nottingham being once again our chosen charity.

Cancer affects the lives of so many people and as individuals we have our own personal reasons for wanting to raise money for this cause.

Maggie's provides free practical, emotional and social support to people with cancer and their family and friends. If we reach our fundraising target of £4,800 it will cover the cost of running Maggie’s for 2 days!
