Story
This November, I will attempt to summit Mount Kilimanjaro in aid of Crohn’s and Colitis UK.
An estimated 500,000 people in the UK are living with these lifelong diseases. This includes yours truly. I have the (mis)fortune of living with the condition for 13 years - while this number has connotations of bad luck, I am fortunate to be in the best health since diagnosis thanks to the National Health Service and support of Crohn’s and Colitis UK.
Crohn’s and Colitis UK do a wonderful job to improve diagnosis and treatment, and to fund research into a cure; to raise awareness and to give people hope, comfort and confidence to live freer, fuller lives.
Disclaimer: All proceeds will go directly to the charity. Any expenses involved in making the trip will be incurred personally.
