Story
In September I am embarking on a bike ride from Lands’ End to John O’Groats to raise funds for The Alzheimer Society. The ride is scheduled across nine tough days and covers 980 miles.
Alzheimer's has hit close to home for me—my mother was recently diagnosed, and I've seen firsthand the profound impact it has on families and friends.
Volunteers have been wonderful and supported us through the confusing path to diagnosis, and thanks to research, medication now offers some hope of slowing the decline.
The research into Alzheimer’s costs money and despite being the leading cause of death in the UK it still gets less funding compared to cancer or heart problems.
Your donations and support would mean the world to us, but more importantly, it would help fund the great work Alzheimer's Society does in the UK, making a huge difference to the lives of those affected by dementia.
Thank you.
