Story

Thank you so much for visiting our page. We have set this up in memory of our friend and colleague Adnan Deumic.

Adnan was an incredibly talented and positive young man who loved his sport and lived life to the full. He had a bright future ahead of him and his tragic passing is a loss to us all and serves as a reminder of how fragile life can be.

You made every day better with your presence, rest in peace Adnan, you will be missed by us all.

In Adnan's memory we are raising money for Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY). A memorial fund has been created in his name with all proceeds donated through this page being directed towards its screening and research programmes.

It is a staggering statistic but every week in the UK at least 12 apparently fit and healthy young people die of undiagnosed cardiac conditions. A key goal of CRY is to reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death (YSCD) by working with cardiologists and family doctors to establish good practice and appropriate screening facilities to promote and protect the cardiac health of our young.

CRY’s expert teams currently test around 30,000 young people every year, its screening programme is heavily subsidized and all of its publicly available screenings are funded by CRY families, these are in memory of someone who has died a sudden cardiac death, meaning CRY’s screenings are free for the public to attend. www.testmyheart.org.uk
