Story
The Speak Up Scotland programme is designed to help young people develop communications skills, build confidence, increase self-esteem, and explore their identity through the medium of debate and public speaking. We target state schools and pupils in areas of disadvantage that would not otherwise have access to this activity, providing a fun and supportive learning environment. The transferable long-term skills that pupils gain boost educational attainment, day-to-day confidence, and future employability. The workshops we deliver are free to all our young beneficiaries.
Having piloted the programme in the central belt, we are now extending our reach to the north of Scotland.
